According to statistics, the total import of stainless steel in January and February 2020 was 149400 tons, down 38.56 percent compared with the same period from January to February 2019, and the export volume of stainless steel was 442200 tons, down 11.92 percent from the same period in January and February 2019.

From January to February 2020, the import and export of stainless steel decreased, mainly due to the outbreak during the Spring Festival. At present, the epidemic situation in China has been controlled to a certain extent, the state is stable, but the epidemic situation in other overseas countries is in the outbreak period, the situation is more serious, the import and export of stainless steel will still be restricted in the later stage, and it is expected that the import and export volume in March is still lower than that in the same period.

Note: the General Administration of Customs no longer publishes the import and export data for January and February separately. In the figure, the data for January and February 2020 split the source data according to the number of natural days.
